Organ Recital: Eon Malan

Eon Malan is a successful church organist, collaborative pianist and choral conductor with a career spanning nearly thirty years of performance, accompaniment and musical leadership. Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, Eon has studied organ and holds a Bachelor of Music (Honours) from Stellenbosch University, as well as an Advanced Diploma in Organ Performance and Diplomas in Hymnology and Church Music. He is presently completing his Master of Music remotely under Prof. Mario Nell at Stellenbosch University with a major in organ performance.

As a concert organist, Eon gives regular public concerts and has performed extensively in New Zealand, the United States, the United Kingdom and South Africa. As a student, Eon has been awarded a number of prestigious bursaries from various institutions over the years, including performance bursaries from the Southern African Church & Concert Organists Society (SAKOV), and academic bursaries from the Nederduits Gereformeerde Kerk and Stellenbosch University. In 2019 Eon was selected…
