The VISION of the AOA is to promote and foster
an appreciation for the organ, organ building and
organ music in Auckland and surroundings regions of New Zealand.

The MISSION of the AOA is to support and inspire organists and friends of the organ by sharing knowledge and encouraging the promotion of the organ as an important instrument for use in churches, schools and concert halls.

    Sunday through Wednesday 10 - 13 April 2022. 40 minute organ recitals based on Lenten/Holy Week organ music in candle light. Each recital will start with prayer. People are welcome to come and go during the pieces. Free admission. Michael Cox, Christopher Graham, Helen Luxman-Fox, Michael Bell.

At the Auckland Organ Association we

  • encourage young people and others to learn to play the organ

  • encourage organ scholars to enter formal study

  • arrange workshops and activities where ideas are exchanged, there is mutual support and everyone enjoys the fellowship of those interested in the organ and organ music

  • support all organists in their craft, whether they are amateur, church or concert level, and provide opportunities to enhance their skills

  • promote solo recitals or concerts by local and visiting artists incorporating the use of the organ

  • act as the custodians of organs and organ music by referring experts to churches, schools and other institutions that have a need for it
